The groundbreaking Ecowork product line, was conceived in 1996 by the renowned husband-wife design team of Erez Steinberg and Gia Giasullo, of Studio EG. The studio is globally recognized for its focus on creative presentation and application of sustainable materials and processes.

Ecowork designed and developed functional, high-quality, affordable and sustainable office furniture, using a remarkable 95% of recycled core materials. The innovative Ecowork furnishings line, earned high praise for design and sustainability, including Best in Show Recognition at NeoCon 2000 and the International Design Sense Corporate Prize for Sustainable Design, in 2001.

The products were originally available only on a limited basis from Studio EG. However Ecowork is now a standalone business, serving the growing demand for sustainable office products.

At Ecowork, our values drive us to create products that minimize environmental impact and are a joy to own. We constantly seek new ways to use existing materials, reduce waste and eliminate toxic emissions. Coupled with this is our goals of desirability, affordability and fun.

Ecowork is located in the Columbia River Gorge, a designated National Scenic Area in the Pacific Northwest, known as a progressive force in conservation. The area provides an ideal setting to inspire passion, creativity and contribution to sustainable business.

The Northwest was once dominated by forest industries, and is today rich in recycled resources from those industries.
